Parramatta Eels support Spina Bifida Awareness Week 2010

The Parramatta Eels will be supporting Northcott Disability Services during its final NRL match of the year against the New Zealand Warriors at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday night, with the players sporting orange coloured socks in honour of Spina Bifida Awareness Week.

A remarkable journey ends

Northcott's Orange Auxiliary has raised over $200,000 to support children and adults with a disability in their 43 year history. Sadly this auxiliary has disbanded as they could not recruit younger members to continue on.

Roselands respite cottage in need of renovation

No significant updates have been undertaken on Roselands Respite Cottage since being acquired in 1993. Planned improvements will offer clients greater accessibility, independence, additional space and provide for the increasing number of people who need to access respite services.

New bus brings independence

Children and adults with a disability will be able to access the community thanks to the generous donation from Variety the children’s charity of NSW, Sargents Pies Charitable Foundation and Parramatta Leagues Club of a brand new $160,000 accessible bus to Northcott Disability Services.

New respite cottage opened in Wagga Wagga

A new centre-based respite facility for people with disabilities who have high support needs in Wagga Wagga was officially opened on Wednesday, 10 February by Minister for Disability Services Paul Lynch.
